

The holidays are drawing near and it will be the time of year when the thieves come out. Breaking into your vehicle or home to steal your hard earned dollars or gifts you purchased for your loved ones. The thieves may even rob you and cause you personal harm.
To help ensure you have a safe holiday season National Intelligence Group is offering you some safety tips.
• When shopping try and shop during daylight and if not possible bring a friend or family member with you.
• Avoid wearing expensive jewelry.
• Try not to carry a purse, if you must keep your purse on your shoulder. Pay close attention during Black Friday you can be overwhelmed by the sales and the crowds.
• If shopping at night, park in a well lit area. Park as close to the front doors as possible.
• DO NOT carry a large amount of cash. Carry only credit cards you are going to use.
• Keep your cash in your front pocket.
• Notify your credit card company immediately if you loose your credit card or it is stolen.
• Pay attention to your surroundings.
• Try not to carry too many packages at a time. You want to have a full visibility of your surroundings.
• Beware of people trying to sell you things in parking lots. They could be a con-artist, thief or worst.
